Musi River Development Board conducted a public hearing related to Musi Rejuvenation Project and presented the works taken up in Zone1. MRDCL works are divided into 6 zones. Zone 1 works were supposed to start and complete by December 2027. With public raising some concerns related to their properties, Now, government conducted one more public hearing on the project at GHMC Rajendranagar circle office on October 26th 2026 in the presence of Asian Development Bank representatives. MRDCL officials presented the new options in grievance redressal system. Public can now putup a grievance online or offline and a case will be created and addressed within time period. Officials now target February 11th as the date by when they wanted to complete this process and start works. MRDCL expressed confidence, Zone 1 project will continue as the funding is secured and not going to be impacted by any changes in political environment.
